Welcome

Herdwick Croft Caravan Park is a small friendly family run holiday park perfectly situated next to the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake and the shadow of the majestic Skiddaw.

We are an ideal location from which to explore the natural beauty of the world renowned Lake District national park or simply relaxed on the park and enjoy the peace and tranquillity at one of the lakes unspoilt gems.

We have had a caravan at Herdwick Croft for 10 years now and never regretted it. it is a peaceful and idyllic park ideal to relax and enjoy the beautiful Lakeland countryside that surrounds it and is ideal for youngsters and oldies alike. Michele and Stuart are very friendly and helpful and keep the park looking immaculate. We love coming here!

It is a quiet, friendly, family run, non commercialised, well looked after site with spectacular views and good facilities that you are looking for, then this is a site I would definately recommend for static caravans, tourers and campers alike.

We moved into our static caravan in April 2003 – the entire family have enjoyed this delightful spot so much over the years, that six members have also acquired statics. We enjoy this location as the perfect place to explore everything the Lake District has to offer. Stuart and Michel have made us all very welcome and always do there best for us on there beautifully well kept site.

Herdwick Croft is a beautiful site and that’s why we return year after
year, we have owned a static caravan on the site and now have a tourer
which we rarely take anywhere as Herdwick Croft takes some beating. All
in all a very family friendly site with pleasant friendly owners and
spotless amenities.

I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our stay in our caravan last week at Herdwick Croft. It was well worth the 7hr journey to get to you. The site itself is beautiful. Breathtaking scenery, lots of space for the children to run around (not forgetting the tree swing which they adored), lovely walk to the lake, spotting kingfishers on the bridge. The site is just gorgeous and we enjoyed walking around it every day, coupled with how great you both were helping us sort out various teething problems with the van and things. Anyway huge thanks from us all. We have been singing your praises to anyone who will listen! Hopefully we will come back again one day. Thanks again.
